Saks Magalog Covers — Celebrity Editorial Direction

Editorial Platform & Celebrity Styling · VP Fashion Director, Saks Fifth Avenue

Objective

Lead celebrity cover production for the Saks Fifth Avenue magalog — a recurring seasonal editorial platform tied to cultural relevance. Use each cover to extend a Saks luxury category to a new audience: advanced designer collections through Samuel L. Jackson, casual luxury through Brunello Cucinelli and Toby Leonard Moore.

Actions

Samuel L. Jackson (Fall cover) — directed all styling and editorial direction on set in person. Sourced exclusive samples from Dior Homme in Paris, Rag & Bone in New York, and Valentino in Milan — coordinating production across three luxury capitals to meet the magalog deadline. Prepared talking points for Mr. Jackson's press interviews tied to the cover.
Toby Leonard Moore (Spring cover) — directed all styling on set in person. Styled Mr. Moore in Brunello Cucinelli, featuring the current season's collection and the brand's relaxed-luxury aesthetic. Directed in-store fashion presentation with the visual merchandising team to align the cover moment with the Cucinelli shop environment across Saks stores.

Results

Delivered both covers and inside editorials on time. Extended the Saks advanced designer menswear category to Mr. Jackson's audience across film, entertainment, and lifestyle media. Drove sales of the Brunello Cucinelli collection across Saks Fifth Avenue stores nationwide and on saks.com. Together, the covers demonstrated a recurring editorial platform where celebrity cultural reach was paired with a specific luxury category — not one-off shoots, but a repeating play that consistently brought new customers to specific Saks departments.
